On July 4th weekend, we did a great jigsaw puzzle by Buffalo Games. The cats in my house definitely know how to play, and know how to relax. And I like the idea of being at the beach. So I really like this mashup of cats relaxing and beach imagery.

The puzzle art on this was fantastic. The painting felt very unified and well done everywhere. And it was full of bright colors which makes it a lot of fun to piece together.

One thing to know about us is that we play without looking at the box or poster. We dump the pieces out and then put the box away. We are two adults doing them, so we don’t mind the extra challenge. And in fact, it engages more parts of the brain to make patterns out of the chaos with nothing to go by.

I mention that because a funny thing happened on this puzzle. We put the most colorful parts together first, because they wore the more obvious patterns. At some point we noticed we had put everything together but the cats themselves. Check out the photos in the gallery below.

Another great puzzle by Buffalo! Very fun imagery, bright colors, and a well-made jigsaw puzzle. More fun than going to the beach because you don’t get sunburned.
